My Appearances
Through the publications of my books from Xavier Review Press and Lotus Press, I have been honored with the opportunity to share my work through public readings at universities, libraries, and independent bookstores. My journey as a Warrior Poet does not end at the closing of my books rather my sense of agency continues with sharing my words and thoughts in my voice to inspire the community to think critically about the salient, social matters of today.
Topics that inspire me
Race, gender, class, orientation, sex, ability, age, region, education, ethnicity, and culture vis-á-vis understanding how they all intersect and play an integral role in our lives. This is my passion. By connecting ourselves with these discussions, together we find answers of how to live openly with self-compassion, boundaries, empathy, authenticity, grit, and self-advocacy, which enables us to build safe spaces and community for others as well as ourselves.
